Specialist Mortgage in running for multiple Better Business Awards
The finalists for the The Adviser Better Business Awards 2023 have been named, with Specialist Mortgage and its finance director in the running for three coveted prizes.
Specialist Mortgage and its Finance Director, Helen Avis, have been shortlisted for The Adviser Better Business Awards 2023.
The awards they are in contention for are within the categories of:
- Best Residential Broker Finalist
- Best Customer Service (Individual) Finalist
- Best Customer Service (Office) Finalist
The highly anticipated 10th annual Better Business Awards 2023 recognises the leading professionals and businesses in the mortgage and finance industry that are constantly propelling the industry forward.
Showcasing excellence and innovation, the awards program was created to highlight the remarkable achievements of top professionals within Australia’s broking industry, enabling them to simultaneously strengthen their roles in the sector and gain recognition.
The finalist list announced on 5 December features 626 high-achieving professionals across 20 submission-based categories.
Annie Kane, editor of The Adviser, said the current economic climate was shaping the industry’s workload.
“With interest rates having started to rise for the first time in nearly a decade and continuing to rise, brokers have been exceptionally busy this year helping a growing number of borrowers understand their financial position and refinance their loans.
“The finalists this year should be commended for their dedication, hard work and care when it comes to supporting borrowers and ensuring they are able to understand their changing repayments.
Ms Avis, who recently won the national MFAA Residential Finance Broker Award, said she was humbled to be recognised and proud to be named as a finalist in the Better Business Awards 2023 across three categories.

Winners will be announced at a glamourous event held at Crown Towers Perth on 9 March 2023.
