Roundtable of market experts

Launching a resilient new year for PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia), organisers staged a virtual roundtable in July that invited some of the biggest specialists in the Australian property market.

The event, broadcast worldwide via Zoom and Facebook, was moderated by Jules Kay, managing director of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, and introduced by Lui Violanti, regional manager for Western Australia at Inhabit Group and chairperson of the Awards’ independent judging panel.

Drawing on years of experience in cross-border investment, Ivan Lam, head of international business at the full-service property advisory firm Charter Keck Cramer, discussed tools and resources available to overseas investors as well as the high benchmarks set by PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) for investment properties in Australia.

He also revealed the top sources of inbound investment in Australian real estate and the strongest segments therein.

Leonie Klaric, co-founder of The Property Expert International, the advisory service specialising in prestige properties, provided her outlook on residential and commercial segments in New South Wales in the context of the pandemic.

She also weighed in on heritage conservation as a vital component of property development in Australia.

The roundtable was also an opportunity to get to know HLB Mann Judd – HLB Australasia, the new Official Supervisor of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia).

Josh Chye, partner and head of tax at HLB Mann Judd – HLB Australasia, informed roundtable viewers on the ways Australia’s leading business advisers and accountants would uphold the credibility, fairness and transparency of the Awards.

Top-echelon awardees

Recipients of this year’s PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) will be revealed on December 9.

Winning developers and projects in top categories from the Australia event will proceed on the same day to the 16th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final where they will compete with other country awardees, representing top-echelon companies and developments throughout Asia Pacific.

The 4th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) and the 16th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final will be aired as virtual gala events and awards ceremonies on AsiaPropertyAwards.com/tv-podcast and the official channels on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube

For the first time ever, highlights of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) will be shown on the History Channel, the Official Cable TV Partner of the Awards, extending the market reach of awardees to a global audience that includes consumers and property agents.

The 2021 edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit, the tech and thought leadership platform of PropertyGuru Group, will precede the Australia event and Grand Final as part of this year’s PropertyGuru Week.

The filming and airing of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series will follow COVID-19 restrictions and protocols and comply with health and safety standards.
