A true media and content writing globetrotter, Ev Foley has worked in news media and public relations for 30 years. She began her career in the Middle East with Dubai’s Al Nisr Publishing, writing and sub-editing for news and lifestyle titles Gulf Weekly, Gulf News and Friday Magazine, covering events in the United Arab Emirates and United States, specialising in travel, aviation and business writing.

She was appointed managing editor of a glossy youth publication and worked as a Middle East and Africa regional public relations manager for leading multinational brand accounts, responsible for their mass communications in 41 countries across the Middle East and north and central Africa.

In Singapore, Ev headed the global public relations and marketing team for a local motorsports events company before returning to Australia with Tourism NSW and later serving as an editor of a business magazine based in regional NSW. A move to the United States saw her enter the freelance writing market for clients in Australia and the US, covering local, state, federal government and social issues, business profiles, climate change and sustainable living solutions. She is now a freelance journalist based in regional NSW.
