New website for natural disasters
Posted on Wednesday, December 07 2011 at 11:08 AM
A new website, Harden Up, has been designed to increase Queenslanders’ resilience to severe weather events, according to the Queensland executive director of the Property Council of Australia Kathy Mac Dermott.
This initiative of Green Cross Australia provides detailed information from a range of private and public sources to help individuals create ‘personal resilience plans’.
“By using historical weather patterns, residents can learn about the practical steps they can follow in order to better protect their homes, families and communities,” said Residential Development executive director Caryn Kakas.
