Canberra tenants feel more secure
Posted on Monday, October 04 2010 at 11:48 AM
Canberra’s public tenants are feeling more settled in their lives and better able to manage money, according to a recent Housing Australian Capital Territory survey of 1000 community housing tenants.
The 2010 ACT Housing Client Satisfaction Survey found that 75 per cent of Housing ACT residents surveyed indicated they were satisfied with the services they received, up from 71 per cent the year before.
One of the major contributors to this positive result was the expansion of the Joint Champions Group, a public housing tenant participation group that meets several times a year to discuss key service delivery areas.
The survey also demonstrated increasing satisfaction among Housing ACT tenants with responses to emergency maintenance and day-to-day maintenance.
